Reflection Questions (use with your small group or on your own):

  1. Have you seen the movie Inside Out? If so, what’s your favorite scene in the movie? Why?
  2. What are some of your core memories? When you think about important moments in your life, what comes to mind?
  3. What is your typical response when you fail or let someone down? What is your typical response when others hurt you or let you down?
  4. Has God been able to use a painful experience of yours to help others? Or, has someone else been able to use a painful experience of theirs to help you? Take a moment to remember that moment, when God used that painful experience for something good.
  5. Identify a painful moment when you got hurt or when you hurt someone else. Invite Jesus into that memory and ask Him to redeem it.

Remember the Truth:

Nothing in our lives, no matter how distant or bleak, is beyond God’s redeeming love.
