Loving people with the heart of Christ in the heart of Wabash.

Philippians 2:3-5

Families. They come in all shapes and all sizes. But what a blessing that God designed it that way! God gave us families—not just nuclear families, but a church family.

“Listen, people of Israel! The Lord is our God. The Lord is the only God. You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Always remember these commands that I give you today. Be sure to teach them to your children.” (Deuteronomy 6:4-7a, ERV)

“[Moses] speaks to the entire nation and calls everyone to be responsible for how the next generation will be raised.” (Reggie Joiner & Carey Nieuwhof)

So what does it look like to embrace both our nuclear families and our church family? How can we, as a church, raise our children in a way that honors God? How can we support one another in all of our different life stages? Our summer study, We are Family, will help us understand how parents and the church can partner together to raise our kids.

Each group has online resources available for free to create their own study, including videos, articles, and recommendations for experiences to put these ideas into practice.

Make this study your own! Study on your own or with your spouse, or invite friends to join you in a small group study. Use the book or simply watch the videos. Set up weekly, every other week, or monthly meetings—whatever works for your schedule!
