SERMON SERIES:
Watch for Signs of Hope

Bible Passage: Luke 1:57-79

Reflection Questions (use with your small group or on your own):

  1. Zechariah and Elizabeth most likely prayed for a child for a very long time. What is something you have prayed for over a long period of time? Why is it so important to you?
  2. In what ways have you felt you’ve lost your voice? What does/did that feel like?
  3. Zechariah’s silence affected people around him–those in the crowd waiting for him to emerge from the Temple, his wife at home, etc. How do you think they responded during this time? How might his time of silence have impacted them?
  4. What part of Zechariah’s experience resonates the most with you? Why?
  5. Spend some time in silence. Sit before God, waiting and watching like Zechariah.

Remember the Truth:

“To these who sit in the stillness before dawn, a light from on high is coming.” (Pastor Jonathan)
